Wash the chicken breast fillets. Pat them dry and cut into bite-sized cubes.
Peel the garlic cloves and mince.
Combine the oil with salt and pepper, 1 tbsp of Calvados, thyme, and chili powder. Place the chicken in the marinade. Let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Wash and core the apples. Cut into cubes. Mix the remaining Calvados with some salt and brush the apple pieces with it.
Now alternately thread apple pieces and chicken onto the skewers.
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

Fresh baguette or flatbread and a garlic dip go well with the apple-chicken skewers.
