Strawberries and chocolate simply belong together. Everyone who has ever bitten into a chocolate-covered strawberry knows that. But it can get even better with the likes of our chocolate bundt cake with strawberries. When it comes to this cake, the red summer fruits aren’t just there to look pretty, but are also integral to the cake. It’s the strawberries, in fact, that make this cake wonderfully moist and fruity. Plus, the dark chocolate not only makes for a beautiful color contrast, but a flavorful one too.

Chocolate Bundt Cake with Strawberries: A Heavenly Combination

Whenever summer comes around, we are excited to make our chocolate bundt cake with strawberries. We’re sure you’ll feel the same way too once you’ve tried this recipe too. Not only does it taste good, but it’s a feast for the eyes too: The cake simply looks elegant with its deep chocolate color and red splashes of color. If you garnish the cake with a few strawberries that still have their leaves, it looks particulary gorgeous we might add. Powdered sugar will add the finishing touch.

Sure this cake looks impressive, but it is also very quick to prepare. You just mix butter, sugar, and salt in a bowl andtthen thoroughly beat in the eggs. Then add flour, baking powder, cocoa powder, dark chocolate shavings, and chopped strawberries. Pour the batter into the bundt pan and bake it for 50 minutes. Of course, any other baking pan would work, but a bundt pan will give your creation a beautiful look.

While the cake cools, you’ll have time to prepare the chocolate coating. We find tha the glaze is essential to this cake, because it takes the chocolate flavor to the next level. Using a double boiler, you’ll simply melt seven ounces of dark chocolate and then pour it over the the room-temperature cake. Finally, as mentioned above, decorate it with strawberries and powdered sugar. Enjoy!

Can’t get enough of strawberries? Neither can we! That’s why we’ve baked this ruby fruit in as many ways we could think of with recipes like our: strawberry cake with vanilla pudding, strawberry puff pastry twists, and strawberry stracciatella cake.
