Bending Into Bliss: Our Strawberry Puff Pastry Twists
The ingredients required for our strawberry puff pastry twists are simple: You need ready-made puff pastry from the frozen aisle, some cream cheese, vanilla extract, and strawberry jam. But, don’t be fooled! While the grocery list for this recipe is short, these twists are certainly not lacking flavor in flavor. Baking the crispy twists is also surprisingly easy. You’ll want to start by making the filling. In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and vanilla extract together. Then roll out the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese onto one half of it. Now all you need to do is spread the strawberry jam over the cream cheese and fold the empty side of the puff pastry over the filling like a book. Strawberry Puff Pastry Twists
Ingredients
- ½ cup cream cheese
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- ⅓ cup strawberry jam
- powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F and line your baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix the cream cheese and vanilla extract together.
- Roll out the puff pastry and spread the cream cheese mixture on to one side of it.
- Now, spread the strawberry jam over the cream cheese.
- Fold the empty half of the puff pastry over the filling and carefully cut it into 1-inch wide strips.
- Twist the dough strips together and place them on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
- Enjoy warm or cooled.
