Cut the peaches into eighths.
In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs. Incorporate the butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Beat everything for about 5–10 minutes until the batter is creamy.
Stir in the milk, then carefully fold in the dry mixture. Briefly combine until a dough forms.
Spread the dough evenly on the baking sheet and smooth it out with a spatula. Arrange the peach slices on top and gently press them into the dough.
Bake the peach cake for about 40 minutes on the middle rack. Let the cake cool and serve dusted with powdered sugar.
