Fizzy Strawberry-Basil Lemonade

ripe strawberries

fresh basil leaves
½
organic lemon

sparkling water
ice cubes
Instructions
Wash and hull the strawberries, then roughly chop them. Crush the basil leaves by hand.
Add strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and basil leaves to a blender or finely puree everything with an immersion blender.
Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove seeds and fibers. Top with cold sparkling water and stir well.
Serve the lemonade with ice cubes and garnish with a few basil leaves.
Notes
Add some agave syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
