Fizzy Strawberry-Basil Lemonade

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup ripe strawberries
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves
  • ½ organic lemon
  • 3 cups sparkling water
  • ice cubes

Instructions
 

  • Wash and hull the strawberries, then roughly chop them. Crush the basil leaves by hand.
  • Add strawberries, basil, lemon juice, and basil leaves to a blender or finely puree everything with an immersion blender.
  • Strain the puree through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher to remove seeds and fibers. Top with cold sparkling water and stir well.
  • Serve the lemonade with ice cubes and garnish with a few basil leaves.

Notes

Add some agave syrup if you prefer it sweeter.
