Ingredients
  

  • 3 starchy potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp starch
  • 3 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp pepper
  • 0.25 cup flour

Instructions
 

  • Peel three starchy potatoes, divide them into quarters and cook them in boiling water until they turn soft.
  • Pour the cooked potatoes into a bowl and mash them with a fork.
  • Add starch, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, egg, and flour to the mashed potatoes and mix everything thoroughly.
  • Roll out the potato mixture between two sheets of parchment paper sprinkled with flour.
  • Cut out round slices using a cookie cutter, glass, or cup. Create smiley faces by cutting out eyes with a straw and making mouths with the round edge of a spoon.
  • Fry the potato smileys in hot oil until they turn golden brown.
