Stuffed Taco Tomatoes

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 12 oz ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • cheddar, grated
  • salad leaves in fine strips
  • sour cream

Instructions
 

  • Fry the beef with the chopped onion and season it with the garlic, chili, cumin, salt, and pepper. Then take the pan off the heat.
  • Place each tomato on a board with the stems facing down. Cut them to form a six-pointed star, taking care not to cut completely through the tomato.
  • Spread the six segments carefully and fill the tomato with the cooked and seasoned beef. Top with cheddar, salad strips, and a blob of sour cream.
