Mixing two snack food classics can be a bit risky, but when it's done right it can result in an unforgettable flavor explosion. Take this next recipe for example: we took a good old-fashioned hot dog and combined it with delicious pizza. The result? A zesty, hearty snack that will keep your family and friends coming back for more.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the green pepper lightly. Add the onion and tomato sauce. Season with rosemary, garlic, sugar, salt, and pepper. Let the sauce simmer.
Pour the sauce into a casserole dish.
Cut the pizza dough in a zig-zag fashion to create four triangles. Remove the outer two triangles.
Lay a hot dog at the bottom of each triangle and put a piece of cheese in front and behind it. Roll the dough up to the pointy end of the triangle. It should look a bit like a croissant.
Put the hot dog rolls in the sauce in the casserole dish. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes.
