Preheat your oven to 375°F. Roll out the first sheet of puff pastry dough onto a parchment paper-lined baking tray.
Spoon the Nutella into the middle of the dough sheet. Spread the Nutella into the shape of a triangle with the back of a spoon. The bottom of the triangle should cover most of the bottom of the dough sheet, ascending to a sharp point at the top.
Cover with the second sheet of pastry dough. Cut the triangle out with a kitchen knife.
Cut two 1-inch wide strips at the bottom of the tree, leaving a strip in the center as the tree trunk. Following this same trunk as you move higher, cut lines from the center both left and right, about an inch apart at the bottom and gradually closer together until you reach the tip, which should be left intact.
Twist each strip at the bottom twice so that it forms a loose spiral. For the shorter strips at the top, a single twist will suffice. Cut a star shape from the remaining dough and add it to the tip of the Christmas tree.
Brush the entire tree with beaten egg. Place tray in the oven.
After 15 minutes, your Christmas tree is ready! You can add a little bit of decoration if you like.
