These watermelon and feta bites are a snap to eat and quick to prepare too. If you’re planning a barbecue, they’re the ideal snack. You only need six ingredients to make your guests happy. How often can you say that? Let’s get started!

Start by giving your sliced bread a good toast, the crispier the better. Then, cut the toast into four equal pieces. Now, cub the watermelon so that it is the same size as your toast squares. After, cut your cucumber into thin slices and feta into cubes. Make sure to set aside some of the feta to top the watermelon cubes with later.

Once all the ingredients are prepared, you can assemble the bites. First take a piece of toast, place a cucumber slice on top, then a piece of feta and finally the watermelon. Crumble the remaining feta and spread it evenly over the watermelon. Now for the final touch: Season with some pepper and a mint leaf for a fresh twist. Equipment

  • 20 Appetizer skewers

Ingredients
  

  • 5 slices white bread
  • lb watermelon
  • ½ cucumber
  • 2 packages feta cheese
  • pepper
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint

Instructions
 

  • First, toast the bread and cut each slice into into four equal pieces.
  • Then, cube the watermelon. They should be the same size as the bread pieces. Remove any seeds, if necessary.
  • Wash the cucumber and cut it into thin slices.
  • Drain the feta, set aside about ¼ of a block, and cut the rest into cubes.
  • Now top each piece of toast with a cucumber slice. Add a feta cube and a piece of watermelon on top.
  • Crumble the remaining feta with your fingers and sprinkle evenly over the watermelon. Finally, season pepper and garnish with some fresh mint.
  • Stick a small wooden skewer into each bite to keep them from falling apart.
