Tzatziki is typically made by mixing yogurt, cucumbers, garlic, olive oil, with various herbs such as dill or mint. Our recipe calls for sour cream and cream cheese for, which will make the dip extra creamy.

Making tzatziki is straightforward, but there are some things to keep in mind. You’ll need some time to drain the cucumbers properly and patience to mix the ingredients to achieve the perfect consistency and flavor. Traditionally, tzatziki accompanies meat dishes such as gyros, souvlaki, or grilled lamb. It is also a popular addition to grilled vegetables, baguette, or as a dip for pita bread.

Of course, popularity of tzatziki has led to many variations and interpretations. For example, some recipes add lemon juice or vinegar to enhance the flavor. Others opt for walnuts or other nuts to create a unique texture. Also, many people let their own inclination to garlic lead the way when incorporating it!
