Tuna Pasta
Ingredients
- olive oil
- 1 onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 cans canned tuna in its own juice
- 1 can (9.5 oz) canned peas and carrots
- 1 cup crème fraîche
- salt herbed, if you have any on hand
- pepper
- chili flakes
- 1 lb fettuccine
Instructions
- Peel and finely dice the onion and garlic. Heat olive oil in a pan. Sauté the diced onion and garlic until translucent.
- Drain the tuna and flake it with a fork. Add the flaked tuna to the pan and let everything simmer over low heat.
- Add the peas and carrots to the pan and stir in the crème fraîche. Bring to a boil, season with herbed salt, pepper, and chili flakes, and let it simmer over low heat for 15 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cook the fettuccine according to package directions until al dente. Arrange the pasta on warmed plates and top with the sauce. Serve with some Parmesan and fresh parsley, if desired.
