Fruity with the Right Kind of Kick: Our Strawberry Vinaigrette
While oil and vinegar certainly always ge the job done, sometimes we just need to stray away from the ordinary in our day to day routines. Don’t get us wrong, we’re a fan of quick, easy, and delicious. But sometimes, a persion just needs that certain something to surprise the taste buds and delight the senses. And as we all know, a good salad thrives not only on the right interplay of different and creative ingredients but also on the right dressing that brings everything together and creates balance. That’s where our strawberry vinaigrette comes in, simple, bright, and with the right kind of spicy twist to make you really appreciate each bite.
There’s something about summer salads that are so romantic. They work so well with those hazy and hot days, and pops of fresh fruit reinvigorate the senses. With this in mind, it wasn’t a far-fetched idea to not only use strawberries as an addition to the salad but also to incorporate them into the dressing. The great thing is that while the strawberry vinaigrette tastes extraordinary, it still is so simple to make. With just an extra minute or two, you’ll have elevated your salad without much sweat or elbow grease involved.
To make our strawberry vinaigrette, start by pureeing a good portion of strawberries into a fine puree. Once properly liquified, mix in the remaining dressing ingredients such as oil, vinegar, mustard, and spices. That’s all there is to it, your strawberry vinaigrette is ready!
The complex fruity sweetness of our vinaigrette pairs wonderfully with slightly bitter arugula, crisp corn salad, or young spinach. Add some creamy goat cheese and fragrantly nutty chopped walnuts, and you’ll find that you’ve created a masterpiece of a salad. We wish you happy eating!
Want to experiment with different salads this summer? We get it, we’ve been on the same game too. Which is why we’ve designed our asparagus & potato salad, sugar snap pea salad with feta, and smashed potato salad.
