The secret to our ham and noodle casserole, is, of course, ham and noodles. But it’s the small details that make this casserole shine. NOODLE & HAM CASSEROLE

INGREDIENTS
- 4 cups noodles
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 6 oz cooked ham, diced (about 1 heaping cup)
- 6 tbsp butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp vegetable broth powder
- 2 egg yolks
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Nutmeg
- 1 ½ cups grated cheese
INSTRUCTIONS
- Cook noodles according to package directions until al dente and drain.
- Peel and finely chop onion and garlic cloves. Also, cut the ham into small pieces.
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Heat butter in a pan and sauté onions and garlic until translucent. Add ham and fry briefly.
- Whisk heavy cream with Parmesan cheese, vegetable broth, and egg yolks. Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
- Pour the cooked noodles, sautéed onion, garlic, and ham cubes with the egg cream into a well-greased casserole dish. Mix everything well and sprinkle the gratin with cheese.
- Bake the noodle and ham gratin for 20-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and a light golden crust forms.
