A Childhood Dish Reimagined: Our Noodle & Ham Casserole

Our noodle and ham casserole is a true classic and it’s not hard to see why. Its delicious combination of noodles, ham, and creamy sauce makes for a drool-worthy meal. Once you try it, it’s guaranteed to become one of your favorite recipes, if it isn’t already. But what makes this casserle so special?

Originally appreciated for their simplicity and elegance, casseroles have become a staple in many households: Quck, reliable, comforting, and perfect for feeding a hungry table.

The secret to our ham and noodle casserole, is, of course, ham and noodles. But it’s the small details that make this casserole shine. Freshly grated cheese, a creamy sauce, and a pinch of nutmeg will add layers of flavor to your casserole. If you so wish, add vegetables like peas, corn, or broccoli for some freshness. While the ingredients in this recipe are simple, together, they bring out the best in each other.

Like its ingredients list, our ham and noodle casserole is similarly straight-forward. Just make sure to cook the noodle al dente, as they’ll keep cooking in the oven. As the pasta, cut the ham into small pieces. Finely chop and fry the onions and garlic. Once fragrant, mix in the sauce. Layer everything in the casserole dish and top with cheese. Finally, bake until bubbling and a golden brown crust forms.

Whether for cozy family dinners or as comfort food after work, casseroles are good in a pinch and yummy. We here have no shortage for you! Our feta & spinach pasta bake, hearty cowboy casserole and salmon gratin.
