Hot Dog Muffins

You'll Need (for 6):

For the dough:

  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 tsp yeast
  • 7 tbsp warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 1 egg

For the filling:

  • 4 hot dogs
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tsp mustard

To garnish:

  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1 dill pickle, diced
  • 1/2 onion, diced

Here's How:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Place the flour into a large bowl. After mixing the yeast with the water, add it to the flour, followed by salt, sugar, oil, and the egg. Knead the mix until you have a ball of dough, then leave it for an hour to rise.

2. Knead the dough a few more times and separate it into 6 equal portions. Make these into balls before rolling them out flat and fitting them into the molds of a muffin pan.

3. Slice the hot dogs in half lengthwise and cut them into small pieces. Mix them in a bowl with the ketchup and mustard.

4. Divide the hot dogs between the muffins.

5. Top the hot dogs with cheese and cook for 15 minutes.
