Grilled Bacon Pie

Equipment

  • Cast-iron pan
  • Barbecue Grill

Ingredients
  

  • 19 slices bacon
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 2 tbsp BBQ seasoning
  • 1 fresh jalapeño
  • 0.5 onion
  • 1 green pepper
  • 6 oz cheddar
  • 2 tbsp BBQ sauce
  • 3 oz fried onions

Instructions
 

  • Line the pan with slices of bacon. Add the ground meat on top and press it down flat. Sprinkle the BBQ seasoning on top.
  • Cut the pepper, onion, and jalapeño into rings and place them on top of the ground meat.
  • Sprinkle grated cheese onto everything and fold over the bacon slices. Brush BBQ sauce onto the entire Bacon Cake and place the pan on a grill heated to 350°F for 45 minutes.
  • Garnish the tasty Bacon Cake with fried onions for the finishing touch. What a wonderful dish for those long summer evenings!
