Tasty Breakfast Sandwiches To Kick Off The Day

If you're starting your mornings off with eggs and a side of toast, you've been doing it all wrong! These 2 recipes will prove that eggs and toast are best eaten in 1 combined dish – in the form of a delicious and innovative breakfast sandwich!

1. One-Pan Breakfast Sandwich

You'll Need:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tbsp chopped chives
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • ¼ stick butter
  • 4 slices of white bread
  • ⅓ cup melted butter
  • 1 slice of tomato
  • 1 slice of mozzarella cheese
  • 3 slices of bacon
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese

Here's How:

1.1 Add the eggs, milk, and chives to a bowl, season with salt and pepper, and whisk the mixture.

1.2 Melt ¼ stick butter in a pan over medium heat, pour in the egg mixture, and place the 4 slices of bread in the liquid.

1.3 Brush melted butter over the bread slices and flip the breakfast sandwich over.

1.4 Place a slice of mozzarella cheese in the upper right quadrant and a tomato slice in the lower right quadrant.

1.5 Fold the left side of the breakfast sandwich over the side with tomato and mozzarella.

1.6 Move the pan so that the side with the breakfast sandwich is off of the burner. Place the bacon slices on the other side of the pan and fry them on both sides.

1.7 Place the fried bacon slices on the bottom piece of bread, place a slice of cheddar cheese on the top piece of bread, and fold the breakfast sandwich in half again.

And your stacked breakfast sandwich is ready to go – nice and toasty on the outside, beautifully crispy on the inside, and oh-so-good with the addition of bacon, tomato, and cheese!

2. Inside-Out Breakfast Sandwich

You'll Need:

  • 1 tbsp diced red pepper
  • 1 tbsp cubed ham
  • 1 slice of white bread
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp chives
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp shredded mozzarella

Here's How:

2.1 Whisk the egg, milk, chives, salt, and pepper in a bowl and set aside. Melt some butter in a pan over medium heat and cook the chopped peppers and ham.

2.2 Cut off the outer crust of the bread in one piece.

2.3 Place the toast crust in the pan around the peppers and ham.

2.4 Pour the egg mixture in the toast crust.

2.5 Place the cut-out piece of bread back inside the crust and slightly push it down.

2.6 Once the sandwich has cooked on one side, flip it over and cook the other side.
