Easy Grilled Lemon Chicken Recipe
The ingredients for the grilled lemon chicken are simple, yet delicious. And you probably already have most of them in your cupboard or close by. You will need juicy chicken breast fillets, lemons, fresh thyme, some oil, turmeric, salt, and pepper.
Begin by marinating the chicken with all of the other ingredients for about 10 minutes before grilling. This will give time for the marinade to soak in. Once ready, your chicken is ready to grill, though this this usually doesn’t take longer than 10 minutes either. As simple as that, you’ll have a delicious main ready in just 20 minutes.
But what makes grilled lemon chicken so special is not only its simple preparation but also its versatility. You can combine it with various side dishes, from crispy salad to baked potatoes to fragrant rice. Whether it’s a leisurely evening with the family or spontaneous cookout with friends, grilled lemon chicken is always a hit. Grilled Lemon Chicken
Ingredients
- 2 organic lemons
- 2 tsp thyme & some more for serving
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp turmeric
- salt & pepper
- 1 lb chicken fillets
Instructions
- Wash the lemons with hot water and thinly slice one of them. Halve the other and juice it.
- Wash the thyme.
- Combine oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, thyme, turmeric, salt, and pepper. Marinate the chicken and lemon slices in it for 10 minutes.
- Grill the chicken for about 10 minutes, until cooked through.
- Grill the marinated lemon slices for about 3 minutes as well.
- Serve the grilled lemon chicken with fresh thyme sprinkled on top.
