White Frosting Recipe:
- 2 sticks butter, softened
- 1¼ cups powdered sugar
- 4 oz cream cheese
Beat the soft butter until frothy, stir in the powdered sugar, and then the cream cheese.
Note: Some of these decorating ideas call for different colored frosting. You can just add a few drops of food coloring to the white frosting to make some.
Chocolate Frosting Recipe:
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 bags of dark chocolate chips
Melt the chocolate in the hot heavy cream. Whisk until the chocolate has completely melted and there are no small pieces left. It should have a creamy consistency. Set the chocolate frosting aside overnight but don’t refrigerate it, otherwise it’ll be too firm and not as spreadable.
