3 Eggs-traordinary Egg Recipes

Eggs can be prepared in a ton of different ways, with each one being equally delicious. Whether you prefer them boiled, fried, poached, scrambled, or even baked, eggs are a kitchen staple that work great as either the main attraction or the supporting act. With that in mind, we're serving up 3 new egg recipes that are fun, unique, and eggs-tra yummy – whether you make them the star of the show or just a little somethin' somethin' on the side is entirely up to you!

1. Fried Deviled Eggs

You'll Need (for 6):

  • 3 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
  • 23 tbsp cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • flour + whisked eggs + crushed corn flakes for the breading
  • chopped chives to garnish

Here's How:

1.1 Cut the hard-boiled eggs in half lengthwise and remove the egg yolks. To make the deviled egg filling, stir the egg yolks, softened cream cheese, and paprika together until the texture is smooth and fluffy. Transfer the deviled egg filling to a piping bag with a star-shaped nozzle and set aside for later.

1.2 Heat a pot filled with cooking oil on the stove. To set up the breading station, crush 2 cups of corn flakes in a deep bowl, whisk 3 eggs in a separate bowl, and set out a third bowl filled with flour. Dredge each hard-boiled egg white in flour, whisked egg, and crushed corn flakes. Repeat the breading process as many times as necessary to completely coat each hard-boiled egg white.

1.3 Fry the breaded egg whites in hot cooking oil.

1.4 Pipe the deviled egg filling into the fried hard-boiled egg whites and garnish with chives.

2. Twice-Baked Potatoes With Eggs

You'll Need (for 2):

  • 1 large baked potato
  • grated cheddar cheese
  • chopped chives
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • softened butter
  • 2 eggs

Here's How:

2.1 Cut the baked potato in half and scratch the insides with a fork.

2.2 Preheat the oven to 325°F. Grate cheddar cheese over the baked potato halves, sprinkle chives on top, and season with salt and pepper. Add a pat of butter to each half and mix everything together with a fork. Create a shallow well in the middle of each half and carefully crack 1 egg into each well.

2.3 Place the stuffed baked potatoes on a baking tray next to a heat-resistant bowl filled with water to make sure the eggs cook evenly. Transfer the baking tray to the oven and bake at 325°F for 30 minutes.

3. Ham, Egg & Cheese Baskets

You'll Need (for 6):

  • 6 slices of white bread
  • 1 cup grated cheddar
  • 6 slices of ham
  • 6 eggs
  • chopped chives to garnish

Here's How:

3.1 Preheat the oven to 300°F and grease the muffin pan by brushing melted butter over the surface of the molds. Cut the crusts off of the slices of white bread.

3.2 Grate cheddar cheese over each slice of bread and top with a slice of ham. Place each garnished bread slice over a separate mold in the muffin pan and use a glass to gently press the ingredients down into the molds.

3.3 Crack 1 egg into each filled mold.

3.4 Place the muffin pan on a baking tray alongside a heat-resistant bowl filled with water to make sure the eggs cook evenly. Transfer the baking tray to the oven and bake at 300°F for 20 minutes. Remove the ham, egg & cheese baskets from the oven and garnish with chives.

These 3 egg recipes are perfect for breakfast, brunch, and lunch, and also make for great snacks or appetizers. They're as versatile as the egg itself, and they're really easy to pull off. Welcome to a whole new world of egg dishes!
