2 Yummy Milkshake Recipes: Neapolitan And Chocolate Banana

McDonald's, Burger King, Wendy's — who makes the best milkshake? This debate has been going on for what seems like centuries, but the answer could not be more clear — it's you! That's right, you can make delicious, easy, and fast milkshakes that can rival any fast food chain's offering right from the comfort of your own home. We've come up with two classic milkshake recipes for your delectation — a classic Neapolitan and a rich chocolate banana shake. And to help you elevate your milkshake game, we're also going to show you how to garnish and serve your shakes and make them look extra fancy. On that note, let's make some milkshakes!

1. Neapolitan Milkshake

You'll Need (for two 12 oz milkshakes):

  • chocolate syrup
  • 15 strawberries
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ vanilla bean
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 scoops strawberry ice cream
  • 3 tbsp strawberry syrup
  • whipped cream for topping
  • chocolate shavings
  • straw

Here's How:

1.1 Chill the glasses in the fridge and pour room temperature chocolate syrup into a squeeze bottle. Distribute the syrup on the edges of the cold glasses so that it trickles down the sides and then refrigerate the glasses again to help the chocolate set.

1.2 Remove the stems from the strawberries and put them in a blender. Add the sugar, vanilla, milk, vanilla and strawberry ice cream, and strawberry syrup and mix everything until you get a smooth consistency.

1.3 Pour the milkshake into the chilled glasses from Step 1.1. Make sure not to fill the glass all the way up so you can spray whipped cream on top. To garnish, push a whole strawberry into the rim and sprinkle chocolate shavings on top.

2. Chocolate Banana Milkshake

You'll Need (for two 12 oz glasses):

  • chocolate syrup
  • 2 bananas
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp hazelnut syrup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 scoops chocolate ice cream
  • whipped cream for topping
  • toffee bits
  • straw

Here's How:

2.1 Repeat Step #1.1, adding the chocolate syrup to the sides of the glasses and chilling them again. Cut the bananas into small pieces and put them in a blender. Add the brown sugar, hazelnut syrup, milk, and ice cream and mix everything until you get a creamy milkshake. Pour the milkshake into the glasses and garnish with whipped cream and toffee bits.

Chocolate Banana Milkshake
