Rope Sausage Pie

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 loaf dark bread
  • 2 cooked potatoes sliced
  • 3 pickles sliced
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 4 rope sausages
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp mustard

Instructions
 

  • Fold a piece of baking paper into a funnel shape, place its point at the center of a pie pan, and cut away any remaining baking paper. Once you fold out the baking paper, it should be the perfect size for the pan.
  • Place two slices of bread on the bottom of the pan before adding half slices along its edge. Then place slices of potato on the bottom of the pie.
  • Add a layer of pickles and diced onions.
  • Place the rope sausages on top of the filling, going from the center outwards.
  • Mix the eggs, cream, and mustard before seasoning with salt and pepper.
  • Pour the sauce over the pie and bake at 350 F for 30 minutes.
