Turn Your Ho-Hum Casserole Into Delightful Stroganoff Burgers

Is it a burger, a casserole, or a newly defined type of beef stroganoff? Why not all of the above? After all, creating good food is all about reinventing the classics. Prepare to be amazed by all the delicious feels that this 3-in-one dish has in store for you!

You'll Need (for 2 burgers):

For the patties:

  • 14 oz ground meat
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • salt & pepper
  • oil for cooking

For the sauce:

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, diced
  • 5½ oz mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 3½ fl oz beef broth
  • 2½ oz crème fraîche
  • salt & pepper
  • oil for cooking

For the noodle buns:

  • 14 oz cooked noodles
  • 2 eggs
  • salt & pepper
  • oil for cooking

Here's How:

1. First make the hamburger patties. Add the mustard and spices to the ground meat and knead everything together thoroughly with your hands. Form two patties and fry them in plenty of oil for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Remove the pan from the stove.

2. Fry the onion in plenty of oil, add the garlic to the pan, and stir well before adding in the mushrooms and letting it all cook together. Carefully stir in the flour, pour in the broth, and mix thoroughly. Add the crème fraîche and season with salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a boil so that it thickens and then pour your finished mushroom sauce into a bowl.

3. Mix the cooked noodles with the beaten eggs and season with salt and pepper. Put two larger metal rings in a pan with hot oil and fill them to the brim with the egg noodles. Fry on both sides until crispy and golden brown. Repeat the process with the portion for the second burger.

4. Now put together the first burger! Put one hamburger patty on a noodle bun, spread a generous amount of mushroom sauce over the patty, and top off with the other noodle bun. Repeat the process for the second stroganoff burger. Now there's only one thing left to do: take a bite!

The only problem you might run into with this hearty treat is trying not to spill while eating, but we think that's a small price to pay for something so delicious.
