No utensils necessary: Spaghetti Cakes

Eating with your hands is not only strangely satisfying, but it also means less to wash. Unfortunately, noodles are not the easiest food to enjoy without the help of utensils; the sauce alone can end up everywhere! However, with this recipe you can present spaghetti like never before: as the perfect finger food!

You will need (for 6 servings):

  • 7 oz spaghetti
  • 4 tbsp cream
  • 2 oz bacon
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan
  • 2 tsp parmesan
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp parsley
  • 4 tsp breadcrumbs

Here's how:

  1. Cook the spaghetti in salt water, strain it, and return the noodles to the pot.
  2. Add the cream, bacon, 1/4 cup parmesan, pepper, egg, and parsley to the spaghetti. Mix the ingredients together on low heat until the cream and egg begin to bind.
  3. Use a fork and spoon the twist the spaghetti into six large portions and transfer each portion to a baking sheet.
  4. Sprinkle the spaghetti cakes with breadcrumbs and parmesan and bake for 15 minutes at 390 °F.

If you fear that the spaghetti might not stay together in the oven, feel free to use a muffin tray. There you have it: a tasty treat, right in the palm of your hand. Enjoy!
