3 Tasty Potato Recipes

As the saying goes, all good things come in threes, which is why we've come up with 3 crispy, creamy, deliciously dreamy potato recipes! Serve these dishes on the side with a main course or enjoy them as a tasty snack when you're in a hurry – either way, you'll leave feeling satisfied!

1. Crispy Fried Potatoes

You'll Need:

  • 11 small potatoes
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1¼ cups chicken broth
  • fresh chopped parsley to garnish

Here's How:

Heat a pan over medium heat, place the potatoes in the pan, and drizzle olive oil over them. Add the rosemary, thyme, garlic, salt, and butter to the pan. Pour in the chicken broth and let cook until the broth reduces and the potatoes are soft. Use the bottom of a skillet to flatten the potatoes and then fry them on both sides until crispy. Garnish the fried potatoes with fresh chopped parsley before serving.

2. Fondant Potatoes

You'll Need:

  • 4 large potatoes
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 sprig of thyme
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ¾ cup vegetable broth

Here's How:

Cut the ends and sides off of the potatoes so that they resemble cylinders, making sure that the peels are entirely removed. Then cut the potatoes in half horizontally so that you have 8 cylindrical potatoes. Heat the olive oil in an oven-proof pan over medium heat and place the potatoes upright in the pan. Season with salt and pepper and fry until the bottoms are golden brown. Flip the potatoes over and add the thyme and butter to the pan. Pour the vegetable broth into the pan and bring to a boil. Transfer the pan to a preheated oven and cook at 400°F for 30 minutes.

3. Smashed Potatoes

You'll Need:

  • 9 medium potatoes
  • olive oil
  • salt, pepper & rosemary to taste
  • sour cream to garnish

Here's How:

Boil the potatoes in salted water. Grease a baking tray with olive oil, place the boiled potatoes on the pan, and smash them with your fist or a suitable kitchen utensil. Drizzle olive oil over the smashed potatoes and season with salt, pepper, and rosemary. Transfer the baking tray to a preheated oven and cook at 400°F for 15 minutes. Garnish each smashed potato with a dollop of sour cream before serving.

The only problem with these 3 recipes is that you have to choose which one you want to prepare first – quite a tricky decision!
