Potato Bacon Pie: Not For The Faint-Hearted

"Oh my goodness, that's way too much bacon," said nobody ever. So if your cholesterol levels are down, and you're looking to indulge in a savory meal, then this might be just the recipe for you.

You'll Need:

  • 45 slices of bacon
  • 5 medium-sized potatoes
  • 14 oz grated cheddar cheese
  • salt and pepper

Here's How:

  1. Place the bacon slices in a pie pan or skillet so that they overlap and form a circle. The ends of the slices should run over the edge of the pan, and the surface of the pan should be covered.
  2. Wash the potatoes and and cut them into thin slices. Place a layer of potato slices on top on the bacon, add salt and pepper, and cover with grated cheese. Repeat the process twice, each time adding fewer potato slices.
  3. Finally, pull the bacon slices one by one towards the middle, completely covering the last layer of cheese. Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 340° F.

Just when you thought you'd seen it all ... Enjoy!
