Potato Bacon Pie: Not For The Faint-Hearted
"Oh my goodness, that's way too much bacon," said nobody ever. So if your cholesterol levels are down, and you're looking to indulge in a savory meal, then this might be just the recipe for you.
You'll Need:
- 45 slices of bacon
- 5 medium-sized potatoes
- 14 oz grated cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
Here's How:
- Place the bacon slices in a pie pan or skillet so that they overlap and form a circle. The ends of the slices should run over the edge of the pan, and the surface of the pan should be covered.
- Wash the potatoes and and cut them into thin slices. Place a layer of potato slices on top on the bacon, add salt and pepper, and cover with grated cheese. Repeat the process twice, each time adding fewer potato slices.
- Finally, pull the bacon slices one by one towards the middle, completely covering the last layer of cheese. Bake for 2 1/2 hours at 340° F.
Just when you thought you'd seen it all ... Enjoy!
