Pigs in a blanket are the perfect appetizer, snack, and party food, all rolled into one. And they only get better when paired with 3 different kinds of dip, so get ready to dig into this peace-loving finger food!

You'll Need:

For the pigs in a blanket:

  • 24 hot dogs
  • 4 puff pastry sheets

For the queso dip:

  • 7 fl oz cream
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp white pepper
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 2½ oz shredded mozzarella
  • 2½ oz shredded Swiss cheese
  • 5 oz shredded cheddar

For the guacamole dip:

  • 2 avocados
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 tbsp yogurt
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 pinch of pepper

  • springform pan (11-inch)
  • 1 jar of salsa
  • 1 bag of chips

Here's How:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into 6 equal rectangles. Put a hot dog on the bottom of each rectangle and tightly roll it up in the pastry.

2. Slice each rolled hot dog into 4 equal sections. Repeat with the remaining puff pastry and hot dogs.

3. Grease the springform pan and arrange the hot dog pieces in the shape of a peace sign. Stack a second row of hot dog pieces on top. Cover the pan with aluminum foil and cook for 60 minutes. Remove the tin foil and cook for another 30 minutes.

4. Prepare the queso dip, and once the cheese is completely melted into the sauce, pour it into one of the party ring chambers.

5. Prepare the guacamole dip and pour it into another one of the chambers.

6. Pour the salsa in the third chamber and place a handful of chips in the final chamber.

This cake truly deserves the Nobel Peace Prize. After all, who's going to have bad thoughts when they're nibbling on this tasty treat? Far out!
