Chocolate and Oreos come together to make a perfect icebox dessert

Is it cake? Cookies? A giant chocolate bar? One bite of this scrumptious icebox dessert, and no explanation will be necessary. This recipe is unbelievably simple and a guaranteed hit at any celebration:

You will need:

  • 28 oz bittersweet chocolate
  • 1 and 3/4 sticks butter
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 40 Oreo cookies

Here's how:

Chop the chocolate into small pieces and transfer them to a bowl. Place the bowl over a pot of boiling water and add the butter and cream. Sir well until the mixture is completely melted. 

Place a layer of Oreo cookies at the bottom of a loaf pan. Cover the cookies with the chocolate mixture so that they are completely covered. Add another layer of cookies, followed by more chocolate, and repeat the steps until the pan is full. Finally, place the dessert in the refrigerator for eight hours. 

Now remove from the pan, cut, serve and enjoy!

Feel free to experiment with different kinds of cookies until you find the combination that's perfect for you. White chocolate is also a delicious option. Your imagination can really run wild with this simple, delicious dessert!
