Honey Roasted Oats: A Super Easy & Sweet Recipe
Oats are an excellent source of nutrients, such as: fiber, protein, and carbohydrates, which are bound to nourish you throughout the day. While oats are no stranger to breakfast, today we suggest adding a little texture to them. Roasting oats is a great way to add a certain crunch to an early morning favorite.
Preparing roasted oats is incredibly easy, and the possibilities for adapting this recipe are boundless. They taste wonderful with plain yogurt, milk, or oat milk and can be even more spruced up with nuts, fresh fruit, or chocolate chips: Who said trail mix is just for the trails?
The crunch of honey roasted oats can liven up dishes throughout the year. Whether in a Christmas chex mix, summer granola, or those perennial yogurt bowls, these oats are something worth smiling about.
Should honey not be your sweetener of choice, or if you’re looking for a little variety, we suggest maple or agave syrup, or even a blend of neutral cooking oil and baking spices to switch things up. Cinnamon or sea salt alike are sure to add a welcome twist to these wholesome oats!
But, we must admit, is it hard to top the perfect balance that these sweet honey and hearty oats strike. Try it out right away!
