Hawaiian burgers with bacon for your next tropical themed party!

Most fruits, as beautiful and delicious as they are, are either eaten plain or used in dessert recipes. The pineapple, however, certainly has a reputation for enhancing the most savory of meals. Whether baked on a pizza or grilled with chicken, the possibilities are endless. Have you ever tried putting pineapple on a burger? There's no better time than now!

You will need:

  • 1/4 lb ground beef
  • 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 pineapple
  • 2 slices bacon per burger

Here's how:

  1. Mix the ground beef with teriyaki sauce, salt, and pepper, and then form the beef into patties.
  2. Place a slice of pineapple over each patty, and then wrap crosswise with two slices of bacon.
  3. Grill for 4 minutes on each side.

Now that wasn't too hard, was it? If you don't have a grill readily available, you can also cook the hamburgers in a pan. Now all that's missing is a hamburger bun, lettuce and tomato, and an extra dollop of sauce. If you're feeling motivated, you can find a wonderful recipe for homemade hamburger buns here!
