Ferrero Rocher Dessert Bowls Filled With Chocolate Mousse

Do you like to spread Nutella on your toast in the morning and eat Ferrero Rocher chocolate balls on the couch at night? Then this recipe is just the ticket, because it combines both delicacies into a delicious cream that nobody can resist — and best of all, it's served in a hard shell chocolate dessert bowl. Yummy!

Yield: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes

You'll Need:

For the chocolate bowls:

  • 12 oz semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped hazelnuts

For the chocolate mousse:

  • 3 tbsp Nutella
  • 1¼ cups heavy cream
  • 4 Ferrero Rocher balls, crushed

For the decoration:

  • Nutella
  • 2 Ferrero Rocher balls

Here's How:

1. For the chocolate bowls, temper the chocolate chips over a water bath. Blow up 2 balloons, dip each balloon about halfway into the tempered chocolate, and sprinkle chopped hazelnuts over the chocolate before it hardens.

2. Spread some of the tempered chocolate on a piece of parchment paper and stick the balloons on the chocolate spots so that they can stand in place while the chocolate hardens.

3. For the chocolate mousse, mix the Nutella and heavy cream until fluffy. Crush 4 Ferrero Rocher balls and fold them into the mixture.

4. Pop the balloons and carefully pull the pieces out of the chocolate bowls.

5. Spoon the chocolate mousse into the chocolate bowls and refrigerate for 1 hour.

6. Drizzle Nutella over the chocolate mousse in each chilled dessert bowl and garnish with 1 Ferrero Rocher ball.

What a beautiful dessert, and best of all, you get to eat everything, including the bowl!
