Check out this mouth-watering new take on cheesecake!
A lot of people REALLY love cheesecake. Most have their own recipe that they always turn to, but this idea adds something new to the mix: cheesecake plus cookie dough. You'll have to decide if this tops your go-to!
You need:
1 package of ready-made cookie dough
24 oz cream cheese (e.g. Philadelphia)
1 cup of sugar
1 cup of sour cream
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
3 eggs
Optional: Leave a little cookie dough out of the mix for decoration
Tip: You could made the base with crumbled cookies pie crust instead of dough. It's more stable that way and tastes just as good.
Here's how:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF and press the cookie dough evenly onto the bottom and sides of a cake form.
Mix the cream cheese and sugar together in a bowl. Once mixed, add in the sour cream and vanilla extract.
Lastly, add the eggs one after the other, mixing between each egg.
Pour the mixture into the cake form on top of the cookie dough.
Optional: If you have a bit of cookie dough left, form small balls and place them on top of the cheese cake mixture.
Bake for one hour, let it cool to room temperature, and then place it in the refrigerator overnight.
Here's a video with all the steps listed again:
When it's fully cooled, you can wow your guests with a tasty cookie-cheesecake masterpiece! It tastes heavenly with a dollop of cream or a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
