Bite into your bowl: Cheesy Linguine in a Bacon Basket

We've learned not to put all of our eggs in one basket, but one might certainly put all culinary dreams in this one! Introducing bacon like you've never seen it before:

You will need (for 2 servings):

  • 9 oz linguine
  • 1 cup parmesan
  • 1 cup mozzarella
  •  cup cream cheese
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp chives
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 8 slices bacon

Here's how:

  1. Boil the pasta in salt water and drain. Add all three kinds of cheese, as well as the pepper, chives, and garlic. Mix all the ingredients with the warm pasta until the cheese melts.
  2. Place two glasses upside down on a baking tray. Cross two slices of bacon over each glass bottom, and then wrap two other slices around the body of the glass. Bake for 15 minutes at 390 °F.
  3. After baking, the bacon baskets should be hard enough to slide off the glasses without a problem. Fill the baskets with pasta, and serve.

It's a shame these delicious baskets will be too quickly emptied. But that pot of pasta isn't far away. And when you've had your fill of linguine, the best part is waiting to be enjoyed!
