Chicken & Cheese Balls: All In One

Chicken is a always a popular choice for dinner, especially with some potatoes or rice and veggies on the side. But have you ever considered rolling every part of your plate into one delicious bite? You'll Need:

For the potato batter:

  • 6 medium-sized potatoes
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tsp red pepper
  • 1 tsp caraway

For the filling:

  • 2 chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp caraway
  • 2 tsp red pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • oil for frying
  • diced onion
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced 
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • grated mozzarella

For the breading:

  • 3 whisked eggs
  • breadcrumbs
  • oil for frying

Here's How:

  1. To prepare your potato batter, first place the cooked potatoes in a bowl, add the spices, and mash well. 
  2. Cut the chicken breast into large chunks and mix with more caraway, red pepper, salt, and pepper. 
  3. Heat a bit of oil in a pan and add the onion, peppers, garlic, and finally the chicken. Stir until the chicken is thoroughly cooked. 
  4. To make the balls, add about two tablespoons of potato batter into your palm and press flat. Place a tablespoon of the chicken mix along with a pinch of mozzarella onto the batter and form into a ball.
  5. Coat the chicken and cheese balls in egg, followed by breadcrumbs. Now fry in a pot of hot oil until golden brown.
