A Delightful Combination – Chocolate Brownie & Berries In A Glass

Presentation is everything, especially when it comes to dessert. With its layers of sweet berries, delicious brownie, and creamy filling, we think our Chocolate Brownie & Berry Delight looks particularly appetizing. So, let's take a look to see how it's done!

You'll Need:

For the sauce:

  • 1½ cups raspberries
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • zest of an unwaxed lemon

For the brownie:

  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • ⅔ cup flour
  • ⅔ cup cocoa powder
  • 1 pinch salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup melted butter
  • 9 oz dark chocolate, melted

For the cream:

  • 1¾ cups cream cheese
  • 7 fl oz cream
  • ⅖ cup sugar

Extra:

  • 5 oz strawberries
  • 5 oz blueberries

Here's How:

  1. Heat the ingredients for the sauce together in a pan until the raspberries have broken down and the mixture has thickened.
  2. Beat the eggs and sugar until they are frothy. Now add and mix in the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder. To finish, mix in the chocolate and the butter.
  3. Scrape the dough into a small, rectangular baking pan, like a brownie pan, then bake for 20 minutes at 340°F. Once the brownie is cool, remove it from the pan and cut it into small squares.
  4. Next, beat the cream cheese, cream and sugar together.
  5. To create the layers for the dessert, lay several cubes of brownie on the bottom of a wineglass. Cover them with a layer of cream before decorating it with blueberries, strawberries, and the raspberry sauce. Then repeat all these steps one more time.

There you have it — delicious layers of fruit, cream and the surprise of the chocolate brownie as you go further down! And this is one of those times where something tastes as great as it looks. Now you know what to serve your dinner guests for dessert the next time you're entertaining!
