You'll Need:

For 2 beef bowls:

  • 22 oz ground beef
  • 2 shallots, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 pinch cinnamon
  • ¾ cup grated parmesan
  • 2 egg yolks
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • ½ tsp cumin

For the chili:

  • ½ cup kidney beans
  • 4 tomatoes, diced
  • ½ cup sweet corn
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 red chili pepper, diced
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp hot paprika

Extra:

  • 2 small springform pans
  • 2 glass jars, slightly smaller in diameter than the pans
  • vegetable oil to grease the pans
  • shredded cheddar cheese & sliced scallions to garnish

Here's How:

1. Preheat the oven to 325°F and combine all the ingredients for the beef bowls. Divide the ground beef mixture between 2 small, greased springform pans and press a greased glass jar into each springform pan to create a deep hollow.

2. Combine all the ingredients for the chili and divide it between the 2 glass jars.

3. Put the springform pans with the glass jars in the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 325°F. For crispier beef bowls, brush a bit of olive oil over the beef and cook for an additional 10 minutes at 400°F without the glass jars. Afterwards, pour the cooked chili into the hollows in the beef bowls and garnish with shredded cheddar cheese and sliced scallions.
