Equipment

  • Baking tray
  • Frying Pan

Ingredients

  • 10 oz potatoes
  • 2 cups grated cheddar
  • 6 eggs
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • 6 bacon strips

Instructions

  • Grate the potatoes and mix them with 1 cup of cheese, two eggs, salt, and pepper.
  • Spoon the hash brown mix onto a baking tray so that it forms an oval shape and bake it at 400°F for 12 minutes.
  • While the hash brown mix is baking, fry up the bacon rashers and cut them into small cubes.
  • Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on the baked hash browns. Form a circle along the edge of the hash browns using the bacon cubes before making two lines that cross each other at the center of the hash browns. Break an egg into each quarter of the hash browns. Then bake the dish for another 15 minutes at 400°F.

Notes

Remember to garnish the dish with fresh herbs for the finishing touch. To mix things up, we recommend trying some tasty chopped up sausage instead of the bacon. Vegetarians may also want to prepare extra hash brown mixture for the cross. However you do it, this delicious combo is sure to stack up well on any breakfast table.
