A party buffet hit: Bacon Cheese Balls

With every great party comes a great selection of snacks. These individual cheese balls are so easy to make, and will be a guaranteed hit among guests.

You will need (for 12 servings):

  • 10 oz creams cheese
  • 1.5 cups grated cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • salt and pepper
  • 4.5 oz bacon, chopped
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup chives
  • pretzel sticks

Here's how:

  1. Mix the cream cheese, grated cheese, garlic and spices in a large bowl. Using a small cookie scoop, form 12 balls from the cheese mixture. Place the balls on a tray and let them chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile, prepare the coating: mix the bacon bits, pecans, and chives in a bowl. Roll each cooled cheese ball in the mixture so that it is thoroughly covered. Finally, add a pretzel stick "handle" and that's it!

As far as the coating goes, there is so much room for creativity. Feel free to use different nuts or spices to create a cheese ball that best suits your taste. Enjoy!
