Fun Pizza Snacks 5 Different Ways

We can't speak for anyone else, but let it be known that we're always in the mood for pizza, no exceptions. But sometimes, a whole pie is just a tad too much, which is why we've come up with 5 perfect pizza snacks that are easy to make and super delicious. Making the dough from scratch gets you bonus points, obviously, and also makes all these snacks taste like a slice of heaven!

You'll Need:

For the pizza dough:

  • 4 cups flour
  • ½ tsp dry yeast
  • 1¼ cups lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt

Here's How:

Whisk together the dry yeast, water, and sugar, then add the flour, vegetable oil, and salt. Knead everything until a smooth dough forms, cover the bowl, and refrigerate for about 2 hours.

1. Pizza Breadsticks

You'll Need (for 5):

  • pizza dough
  • pizza sauce
  • shredded mozzarella
  • fresh basil
  • mini pepperoni slices

Here's How:

1.1 Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 2 equal rectangles. Top the first rectangle with pizza sauce, mozzarella, basil, and mini pepperoni slices.

1.2 Place the second dough rectangle on top and press down. Cut the dough into 5 equal strips, twist them from both sides, and transfer them to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake the pizza breadsticks in a preheated oven set to 425°F for 15 minutes.

2. Pizza Croissants

You'll Need (for 3):

  • pizza dough
  • pizza sauce
  • fresh basil
  • ham slices
  • cheese slices

Here's How:

2.1 Roll out the pizza dough and cut it into 3 large triangles. Spread pizza sauce on the triangles and top with ham, cheese, and basil.

2.2 Roll up the triangles beginning starting from the wide side to create the typical croissant shape. Transfer the croissants to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven set to 425°F for 15-20 minutes.

3. Pizza Popsicles 

You'll Need (for 3):

  • pizza dough
  • ricotta cheese
  • fresh basil
  • cherry tomatoes, halved
  • mozzarella pearls, halved
  • popsicle sticks, soaked in water
  • grated parmesan

Here's How:

3.1 Roll out the dough and use an oval container to cut out 6 pieces.

3.2 Transfer the oval pieces of dough to a baking tray lined with parchment paper and press a popsicle stick into the bottom of 3 of the dough pieces.

3.3 Top the 3 dough pieces with ricotta cheese, 2 cherry tomato halves, 2 mozzarella pearl halves, and 2 basil leaves before sealing everything with a piece of dough that doesn't have a popsicle stick in it. To make sure the dough pieces sticks together, moisten the edges of the dough with water. Sprinkle grated parmesan on top of the dough popsicles, transfer the baking tray to a preheated oven set to 425°F, and cook for 15 minutes.

4. Pizza Cones

You'll Need (4):

  • pizza dough
  • waffle cone
  • aluminum foil

Here's How:

4.1 Wrap the waffle cones in aluminum foil. Remove the cones, leaving the aluminum cone shape, and fold in the top edges for a little for more stability.

4.2 Roll out the pizza dough and cut out a large circle (use a bowl). Quarter the dough and roll the individual aluminum cones. Brush water over the tips of the dough cones and transfer them to a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Put the pan in a preheated oven set to 425°F and cook for 15 minutes. After baking, remove the aluminum foil.

5. Pizza Waves

You'll Need (for 5):

  • pizza dough
  • pepperoni sticks
  • garlic & herb olive oil
  • shredded mozzarella

Here's How:

5.1 Roll out the dough into 2 equal rectangles. Place one rectangle on an elevated oven rack lined with parchment paper. Press a pepperoni stick into every second gap and sprinkle shredded mozzarella over it.

5.2 Cover the first dough sheet with the second rectangle of dough. Mix garlic, rosemary, and olive oil and brush the garlic & herb olive oil over the dough. Place the oven rack inside a preheated oven set to 425°F and cook for 15-20 minutes.

Bonus Recipe: Pizza Dip

You'll Need:

  • 1½ cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups pizza sauce
  • meatballs
  • 2½ cups shredded mozzarella
  • pepperoni slices

Here's How:

This dip goes great with all the pizza snacks, but especially as a filling for the pizza cones. Spread the ricotta cheese over the bottom of a glass casserole dish and spread the pizza sauce on top. Push meatballs into the dip and top with shredded mozzarella and pepperoni slices. Transfer the casserole dish to a preheated oven set to 350°F and cook for 30 minutes until the cheese on top is melted.
