The great thing about eggs is just how versatile they are! How do you normally like your eggs? Hard-boiled, scrambled, fried, poached – the possibilities are endless! But just when you thought you’d seen every possible way to prepare eggs, we’ve added an additional 4 to the realm of possibilities. You better buckle up because you’re in for one heck of a ride.

1. “Pouched” Eggs

You’ll Need:

  • 3 eggs
  • vegetable oil

Extra:

  • plastic wrap
  • cooking twine
  • scallions to garnish

Here’s How:

1.1 Place the plastic wrap in a small bowl, add a few drops of oil, and crack an egg on top. Pull the plastic wrap up and secure it with cooking twine. Repeat with the other 2 eggs.

1.2 Place the egg pouches in a pot of hot water for 12-15 minutes and then submerge them in cold water. Remove the plastic wrap and serve your new favorite version of poached eggs with scallions.

2. Daisy Eggs

You’ll Need:

  • 1 hard-boiled egg
  • 1 toothpick
  • unflavored dental floss

Here’s How:

2.1 Tie a loose knot in the dental floss, stick a toothpick through the loop, and tighten the knot.

2.2 Push the toothpick into the center of the hard-boiled egg and use the floss to cut a zigzag pattern around the egg.

3. Egg Salad

You’ll Need:

  • 3 hard-boiled eggs
  • onion bag

For the egg salad:

  • 3 oz mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp mustard
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • scallions to garnish

Here’s How:

3.1 Add the mayonnaise, mustard, salt, and pepper to a bowl. Then press the hard-boiled eggs through the onion bag.

3.2 Mix well and garnish with fresh scallions.

4. Long Egg

You’ll Need:

  • 4 eggs
  • vegetable oil

Extra:

  • 1 water glass (Ø 2 inch)
  • 1 Shotglas (Ø 1½ inch)
  • 1 pot of water

Here’s How:

4.1 Separate the egg whites from the egg yolks. Grease a shot glass with vegetable oil and add the beaten egg yolks.

4.2 Place the shot glass in a pot of water over low heat, cover with a lid, and let it sit until it reaches about 200°F.

4.3 Remove the solid egg yolk mass from the shot glass and put it in a greased water glass. Pour the whisked egg whites into the water glass.

4.4 Place the water glass in a pot of hot water and cover with a lid. Once the egg whites have solidified, slide the roll out of the glass while it is still warm.
