4 Scrumptious Desserts You Can Make With An Ice Cube Tray
Think your ice cube tray is just for making ice? Think again! The following recipes will show you that they're not just a way to cool down your drinks. Simple, creative, and tasty – stuffed dessert bites are just what the doctor ordered!
1. Chocolate Strawberry Bites
- 15 medium strawberries
- 14 oz chocolate
1.1 Melt the chocolate and fill each ice cube compartment ⅔ full.
1.2 Push one strawberry into the chocolate in each chamber. Put the ice cube tray in the fridge or freezer to chill. Once the chocolate has hardened, pop the bites out of the mold and serve.
2. Puff Pastry Bites

- whisked egg
- 4 spoonfuls of Nutella
- ½ banana
- 6 spoonfuls of raspberry jam
- 6 pieces of white chocolate
- 4 spoonfuls of chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp chopped hazelnuts
- 4 mini graham crackers or cookies
2.1 Preheat the oven to 400°F. Drape the puff pastry over the ice cube tray so there's enough dough on one side to fold over. Push the dough into the individual chambers.
2.2 Fill the first 4 chambers with Nutella and a banana slice.
2.3 Fill the next 6 chambers with raspberry jam and a piece of white chocolate.
2.4 Fill the last 3 chambers with chocolate chips, chopped hazelnuts, and mini graham crackers.
2.5 Fold the hanging dough over the ice cube tray and cut off any excess dough.
2.6 Flip the dough over onto a pan lined with parchment paper and seal the dough edges with a fork. Brush an egg wash over the dough and bake for 20 minutes. Once the dessert has cooled down, cut it into individual bites.

- 10 fl oz cold coffee
- 3 fl oz milk
- 2 tbsp caramel sauce

3.1 Mix the cold coffee, milk, and caramel sauce together, pour the mixture into an ice cube tray, and freeze for 4 hours.
3.2 Add 3–5 coffee ice cubes to a glass and fill it with milk or coffee. Garnish with whipped cream for a decadent touch.

- 12 oz cream cheese
- 3 tbsp crème fraîche

4.2 Fold the diced strawberries into the cream mixture and spoon into an ice cube tray.
4.3 Sprinkle cookie crumbs over the ice cube tray, push a popsicle stick into the center of each compartment, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
