Sugar Cookie Dough

  • 1¾ sticks butter, softened
  • 1¼ cups powdered sugar
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups flour

For the sugar cookie dough, use a hand mixer to beat the butter, egg yolks, and vanilla extract. Sift the powdered sugar and combine it with the other ingredients. Once the mixture becomes smooth and creamy, knead in the flour until a smooth dough forms. Transfer the dough to a cool place and let it rest for 30 minutes. For the best results, make sure the cookie dough is very cold to prevent the butter from softening quickly in the oven. This will help the cookies will keep their shape better.

     For the green buttercream frosting:

  • 1 stick butter, softened

Once the cookies have baked, turn off the oven, place 3 clear gummy bears in the circle cut out of each snowman's belly, and sprinkle a few snowflake sprinkles on top. For the icing, sift the powdered sugar, then stir together the powdered sugar and egg white powder in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add in the warm water and continue to stir. Transfer the icing to a blender or food processor and blend everything together for 7–10 minutes. Add in some additional water until the icing becomes the desired consistency.
