3 Quick And Easy Toasted Sandwiches

Whenever everyday life threatens to swallow you whole, there's nothing to cheer you up like a fast and easy meal. But if the contents of your freezer leave much to be desired without even a frozen pizza to fall back on, you know you're in trouble. What to do? Well, if you happen to have a few slices of bread lying around, there might be hope for you yet, because it has an almost magical ability to turn basic ingredients into something delicious, like these 3 tasty toasted sandwiches!

1. Cheeseburger Sandwich

You'll Need:

  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 6 oz ground beef
  • cheese slices
  • chopped parsley
  • butter for frying
  • ketchup

Here's How:

1.1 Use a glass to cut a hole in both slices of bread, halve the ground beef, and press it into the empty holes in the bread.

1.2 Place a slice of cheese on the first piece of bread, sprinkle chopped parsley on top, and add another slice of cheese.

1.3 Place the other piece of bread on top, fry the sandwich on both sides until crispy, and then drizzle some ketchup around the hamburger patty.

2. Grilled Chicken Salad Sandwich

You'll Need:

  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese, cut into 4 strips
  • 1 chicken breast, shredded
  • 2 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 small red onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley
  • 2 tbsp grated parmesan
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • butter for frying

Here's How:

2.1 Use a square utensil like a Tupperware container to cut the center out of both slices of bread. Place the cheddar cheese strips along the edges of the first piece of bread, top with the other piece of bread, and place in a pan with some butter.

2.2 Mix the shredded chicken breast with the cream cheese, tomato, red onion, parsley, parmesan, salt, and pepper.

2.3 Spoon some chicken salad into the hole in the sandwich and fry on both sides until golden brown.

3. Hot Dog Breakfast Sandwich

You'll Need:

  • 2 slices of white bread
  • 1 hot dog, sliced
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • chives
  • white American cheese
  • butter for frying

Here's How:

3.1 Use an apple corer or a similar utensil to cut out small circles in both slices of bread.

3.2 Place the hot dog slices in the holes in both slices of bread.

3.3 Fry the first piece of bread in a pan with some butter and then pour the beaten egg over it. Add the chives and a slice of cheese on top. Once the egg has set, fold the omelet edges over the bread. 

3.4 Place the second piece of bread on top and fry it on that side for another 5 minutes.
