Watching the ball game, chowing down with family & friends at a BBQ, or walking the streets of your favorite city and stoping for a quick bite – hot dogs always seem to be able to put a smile on your face. Rather than sticking to the traditional bun, ketchup, mustard & relish serving style, we've decided to bring the joy of hot dogs to 3 fun new recipes. We're talkin' cheese-stuffed hot dog bites, a cheesy boat with hot dog crust, and finally the power of curly fries plus the power of hot dogs combine to make curly dogs. 1. Cheesy Hot Dog Bites

You'll Need:

  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 3 hot dogs
  • 6 mozzarella pearls
  • cooking oil for frying

Here's Hw:

1.1 Cut the puff pastry sheet into ½-inch thick strips. Cut each hot dog in half, then make 2 slices through ½ the length of each piece of hot dog. Stuff each piece of hot dog with 1 mozzarella pearl.

1.2 Wrap the stuffed end of each piece of hot dog in puff pastry dough, sealing in the cheese. Transfer the cheesy hot dog bites to the refrigerator and let them chill for 20 minutes.

1.3 Once the hot dogs have chilled, heat a pot filled with cooking oil on the stove. Slice the exposed part of the hot dogs 3 times. Fry the cheesy hot dog bites in hot cooking oil for about 10 minutes, until the puff pastry is golden brown, then place them on a paper towel and let any excess oil drain off.

2. Curly Dogs

You'll Need:

  • 1 potato
  • 1 hot dog
  • ketchup & mayonnaise
  • cooking oil for frying

Here's How:

2.1 Wash the potato, then use an apple corer to cut a hot dog-sized hole down the center of it, keeping the apple corer inside the potato for the time being. Use a knife to cut the potato in a spiral pattern, then carefully remove the apple corer.

2.2 Heat a pot filled with cooking oil on the stove. Stuff the hot dog into the center of the potato, then stick a wooden skewer into one end of it. Spread out the potato so that it covers the hot dog completely.

2.3 Fry the curly dog in hot cooking oil, place it on a paper towel to remove any excess oil, then top it off with ketchup & mayo.

3. Cheese Boat With Hot Dog Crust

You'll Need:

  • 2 hot dogs 
  • yeast dough
  • 5 oz feta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Gouda cheese
  • chopped scallions for the topping

Here's how:

3.1 Preheat the oven to 375°F. Roll the yeast dough out into a large oval about 8 inches in diameter on a baking tray. Place 1 hot dog on each of the longer ends of the dough, then roll them up in order to create a small boat.

3.2 Crumble the feta and grate the Gouda into the center of the boat.

3.3 Transfer the baking tray to the oven and bake the cheesy boat at 375°F for 45 minutes. Once it has baked, remove the cheesy boat from the oven and top it off with chopped scallions.
