Hot Dog Croquettes: A Perfect Duo

When two foods come together for the first time, the result can either be disastrous or delicious. Lucky for croquette and hot dog lovers, this simple recipe introduces a match made in heaven.

You will need (for 12 servings):

  • 1.5 pounds potatoes
  • 1.5 cups parmesan
  • 1 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • 4 hot dogs

Here's how:

Peel and wash the potatoes. Boil them in water for no longer than 8 minutes.

Once they are cool enough to touch, grate the potatoes into a bowl and add the parmesan, flour, oregano, salt and pepper. Mix well.

Cut each hot dog into 3 equal parts so that you have 12 pieces in total.

Place a tablespoon of the potato dough in your hand, press flat, and put an upright hot dog piece in the middle. Close the potato dough around the hot dog so that it is fully covered.

Bake the hot dog croquettes for 30 minutes at 350° F. Finished!

These tasty bites are perfect for any party or gathering. If you want to experiment with more flavors, try adding chopped onions or other veggies to the potato mixture. Enjoy!
