But in recent years there's been a new trend involving grilled vegetables, and why not? Grilled red peppers, onions, and carrots can make a tasty side dish for any meal. But here's one you might not have thought of: cauliflower! Try out this recipe the next time you fire up the grill and add a bit of (cauli)flower power to your barbecue...
- 1 head of cauliflower
- 1 cup flour

For the sauce:
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar

- Break up the head of cauliflower into small florets. Dunk the florets in the flour, then the egg, and then the breadcrumbs. Bake for 20 minutes at 355 F.
- Mix the sugar, pepper, garlic, and a squeeze of lemon into the BBQ sauce and heat it up in a pot.
- Mix the baked cauliflower bites into the warm BBQ sauce and serve with a dip, e.g. ranch dressing.
