Mozzarella-Stuffed Bacon Bombs Straight From The Oven

This recipe not only combines the tastiest ingredients of Italian cuisine, but it's also enough to make any bacon lover drool. The bacon mozzarella bombs are so fast and easy to make and work as an appetizer, side dish, main dish, party snack, or finger food. Just be careful what you serve alongside these cheesy delights, because they will end up taking a back seat to the crunchy delicacy!

You'll Need:

  • 5 mozzarella balls
  • 25 cherry tomatoes
  • 2 handfuls of basil leaves
  • pepper to taste
  • 30 bacon strips
  • 2 tbsp honey

Here's How:

1. To create your mozzarella bowls, first cut the mozzarella balls in half lengthwise. Then carefully cut an indented section out of each half and set the removed section aside.

2. Take all the cut mozzarella sections that you set aside and slice them into small cubes. Quarter the cherry tomatoes and cut the basil leaves into small pieces. Now put all the minced ingredients in a bowl and season with pepper. Then fill the hollowed-out mozzarella halves with the mixture, and put the mozzarella halves back together again — like a hamburger.

3. Lay three slices of bacon next to each other horizontally so that they slightly overlap. Then place three more bacon slices in the same way, vertically on top of the other slices. Lay the stuffed mozzarella bomb in the middle and wrap the bacon strips around the mozzarella ball.

4. Lay the small, tasty bombs on a pan lined with parchment paper. To make the bacon crispy, you can brush honey over it. Cook for 15 minutes at 400°F in a preheated oven.

Once you take the ooey, gooey bacon cheese bombs out of the oven, it will be love at first sight! Because the recipe makes so many, you should technically share the crispy treats, but we won't tell if you don't.
